The Rev Dr Sheila Sponsorship Programme was established with one clear purpose: to ensure that children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds have the opportunity to receive an education and fulfil their God-given potential.
Today, we are delighted to share that more than 35 children and young people are attending school because of this programme. What began as a vision has become a growing movement of hope, made possible through the generosity, compassion, and commitment of sponsors who believe that every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and dream.
For many of these children, education would simply not have been possible without sponsorship. Through the programme, sponsors help provide school fees, uniforms, books, learning materials, and ongoing encouragement, enabling children to remain in education and build brighter futures.
But the programme is about far more than financial support.
Each child is valued, nurtured, and encouraged to develop confidence, character, and resilience. Through partnerships with families, schools, churches, and local leaders, we seek to create an environment where every child feels supported, loved, and empowered to succeed.
The impact is already evident. Children who once faced uncertainty now attend school with confidence and hope. Young people are discovering new opportunities, developing their talents, and beginning to believe in a future that once seemed beyond their reach.
Our vision is not simply to educate children—it is to restore hope, rebuild lives, and raise a generation of confident, compassionate, and skilled young people who will become leaders within their families and communities.
This programme forms an important part of the wider work of the Rev Dr Sheila Centre for Wholeness and Wellbeing and our Restoring & Repairing the Generations (R4) initiative. Together, these programmes provide a pathway of support from childhood through education, vocational training, employment, entrepreneurship, and community leadership.

As the programme continues to grow, our prayer is to reach many more children who are still waiting for the opportunity to attend school.
